On June 29, 1939 Henry Ford introduced the 9N Ford tractor in Detroit Michigan as a crowd of onlookers watched a nine year old boy easily wheel the tractor through a plowing demonstration to show just how nimble this tractor was. Lancaster Ford Tractor changed its name to Lancaster Tractor & Equipment shortly after Ford Motor Company purchased New Holland and the world wide corporate name became New Holland, however only the name changed.
